GW&K Investment Management Announces Key Promotions
Lewis Collins, Reid T. Galas and Pablo Salas named partners of the firm
BOSTON, MA – February 25, 2020 – GW&K Investment Management (GW&K), a dynamic investment management firm offering active equity and fixed income investment solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base, today announced it has named Lewis Collins, Reid T. Galas, and Pablo Salas as partners of the firm.

As general counsel for the firm, Collins has responsibility for managing the firm’s legal, regulatory compliance and risk matters. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment, Brokerage, Cybersecurity, ESG and Diversity & Inclusion Committees. Collins has played an integral role in helping GW&K navigate the investment management regulatory landscape as it has evolved, as well as positioning and preparing the firm for the future.
Before joining the firm, Collins was a senior vice president and senior counsel at Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. (AMG), where he had responsibility for U.S. legal and regulatory compliance for AMG affiliates across several areas, including, investment management, employment, regulatory, real estate and licensing. Collins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Williams College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and is active in industry organizations, including the Investment Adviser Association and the Investment Company Institute.
Galas, who joined the firm in 2014, developed, built and launched the firm’s International Small Cap Strategy the same year, and its Global Small Cap Strategy in 2016. As portfolio manager and member of the firm’s Investment Committee, his knowledge of the global investment landscape, along with his investment expertise, has been reflected in the growth and performance of the strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, Galas was a portfolio manager for the Deutsche Global Growth Fund, as well as a senior analyst for the Deutsche Global Small Cap Equity Fund. Galas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He also earned the CFA designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Salas, a portfolio manager and member of the firm’s Investment Committee, joined GW&K in 2019 and quickly became an important addition to the global equity team. Since joining the firm, he has leveraged the global investment process he developed in the mid-1990s and has been instrumental in helping GW&K build out its emerging markets capabilities.
Prior to GW&K, Salas managed the emerging markets equity portfolio at Trilogy Global Advisors, a company that was formed in 2005 as a result of a merger with BPI Global Asset Management, LLP, which he co-founded. Salas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Finance.
