Collaboration among people with different perspectives & experiences across our business generates the best ideas.

We take pride in the fact that our policies and practices are inclusive to all. Our commitment to a diverse GW&K is steadfast and permeates the entire firm. Our process will continue to be rooted in learning, open dialogue, and integrity.

GW&K has an established Diversity & Inclusion Committee comprised of a committed group of thinkers representative of all departments and business segments. The goals of the committee include:

  • Being true allies with organizations in our communities that promote diversity and effect change.

Our firm has established various affinity groups and task forces to support a diverse community and foster a compassionate work environment without bias. These include: Women in Finance, People of Color, and the LGBTQ community.

Engagements in 2023
  • Becoming DEI Champions

In May, GW&K leaders participated in a training focusing on actively promoting a diverse, supportive, and inclusive workplace while fostering a culture of respect and acceptance. Unique perspectives, improved innovation, greater employee engagement and satisfaction, and better decision-making and problem-solving are just a few of the outcomes that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) can bring to an organization. This training focused on overcoming obstacles around inclusion — including how to have difficult conversations about identity. Many thanks to Paradigm IQ for leading this insightful training!

  • Women's Lunch Place

In April, five groups of GW&K Investment Management employees in Boston had the opportunity to help prep and serve meals for women experiencing homelessness and food insecurity at our Back Bay neighbor Women’s Lunch Place. Women’s Lunch Place is a safe and welcoming day shelter that provides individualized, integrated services focused on nutrition, health, housing, and economic empowerment.

  • Celebrating Black History Month - Lesego Malepe

In February, GW&K’s People of Color Network welcomed author Lesego Malepe who read from and spoke about her book “Reclaiming Home: Diary of a Journey Through Post-Apartheid South Africa". This book offers a look at the complexities of post-apartheid South Africa through the eyes of a young black woman reclaiming her home and heritage. GW&K employees joined a Black History book club featuring the book and then had a lively Q&A with Lesego in our Boston office.

  • GW&K Joins Out in Finance

Out in Finance unites individuals across the financial services industry to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality. We advance workplace policies across the industry; collaborate with firms on programming and events; engage with the community; and provide a networking forum for LGBTQ+ financial services professionals.
