Senior Financial Planner
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Planner to support a team of wealth advisors in all aspects of comprehensive financial planning. This role plays a key part in enhancing the advisor-client relationship, driving adoption of financial planning practices, and delivering high-quality, actionable advice. This role is based in our Boston, MA office on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive financial plans, including data entry, analysis, plan design, and the preparation of detailed written summaries with clear recommendations and next steps.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors to ensure satisfaction and ongoing engagement with planning services.
- Serve as a consultant to advisors on a wide range of financial planning topics, providing guidance that drives efficiency, adoption, and growth.
- Present completed financial plans professionally to advisors and clients as needed.
- Stay current on financial planning concepts, tools, industry trends, and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional partners to support a seamless planning experience.
- Partner with management to promote the integration of financial planning into advisor practices.
- Travel up to 20% required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- CFP® certification with a minimum of 5 years of active experience required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years focused on developing and presenting comprehensive financial plans.
- Deep understanding of financial planning topics including retirement planning, wealth management, risk management, and education funding.
- Experience with financial planning software such as MoneyGuide Pro.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to explain complex financial topics clearly.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Collaborative team player with a client-centric mindset.
