Brian Maguire Joins GW&K Investment Management As CFO

New York, NY (January 15, 2025) – GW&K Investment Management (GW&K), an entrepreneurial-driven investment management firm offering active equity and fixed-income investment solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base, today announced that Brian Maguire has joined the firm as Principal and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is based in the firm’s Boston headquarters.

As CFO, Maguire will complement GW&K’s established Finance & Administration department, providing oversight of the firm’s finance functions ranging from financial planning, analysis and reporting to spearheading strategic financial projects. Additionally, he will manage the Finance & Administration staff. A key member of the firm’s management team, Maguire will work closely with Co-CEOs Tom Powers and Bill Roberts, the firm’s Management Committee, and GW&K’s institutional partner, AMG.

“We believe adding a CFO position will help ensure the timely development and execution of strategic financial strategies and initiatives as the firm continues to grow and the industry evolves,” said Bill Roberts, Co-CEO of the firm. “Brian brings a wealth of experience in several areas of corporate finance, and we are confident his contributions will be instrumental in driving our financial success and in supporting our long-term objectives.”

Maguire joined GW&K from Wellington Management, where he most recently served as Head of Financial Operations & Partner Services. During his tenure at Wellington Management, he led numerous corporate finance functions, including accounting, financial planning, management reporting, treasury, and audits. Previous roles he held at Wellington Management include Head of Accounting, FP&A & Treasury; Director, Financial Operations and Analysis; and Divisional Controller for Technology and Real Estate. He began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Maguire earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Georgetown University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
