Christa is a member of GW&K’s institutional team responsible for cultivating new business opportunities with institutional asset owners, expanding both GW&K firm and product awareness with consultants, and working closely to manage and foster client relationships within the western United States. She is based in San Antonio, Texas.
Prior to joining GW&K, Christa was Head of Business Development and Marketing for Acuitas Investments where she oversaw the firm’s strategic plan to increase visibility and exposure for their offerings to the investment community. Previously, Christa was the Director of Business Development for Kennedy Capital Management. She also worked as Vice President, Institutional Sales and Client Service at Westwood Holdings Group focusing on business development within the western US for the firm’s equity strategies. She began her investment career with Thornburg Investment Management as a Regional Director, where she oversaw various regions and was responsible for client service, consultant relations, and business development.
Christa earned her BBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management. She is a CFA® charterholder and holds the Series 7 and 66 Licenses with FINRA. She also holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM®). Christa currently serves on boards for the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives (AIMSE), and the University Health System (San Antonio).
