Responsibilities
Matt is responsible for sourcing investment ideas and ongoing research for GW&K’s International and Global Small Cap Strategies. His primary coverage responsibility includes companies in North America across sectors. Matt has been covering global equities for almost 20 years. Matt is also a member of the firm’s Investment and ESG Committees.
Prior Work Experience
Prior to joining GW&K, he worked as a senior analyst at Loomis Sayles & Co. where he covered small, mid, and large cap companies in the Energy and Consumer Discretionary sectors. Previously, he was a senior analyst and partner at Evermore Global Advisors where he was a global generalist with a particular emphasis on small cap companies based in the United States and Europe.
Education
Matt graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Economics from Boston College and earned an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute, and holds the CFA Institute Sustainable Investing Certificate.
